Celia shows Minny a different kind of employer/employee relationship than what she's experienced before — one that smacks of friendship and mutual respect.The first involves Minny's new employer, a ditzy social outcast named Celia (Jessica Chastain), who marries into wealth and is thus deemed unworthy of traveling in Hilly's highfalutin social circles.Two sub-plots not covered thus far provide platforms for memorable performances, and so are worthy of mention.But Skeeter isn't interested in such mediocrity.Like Hilly, whose sponsorship of a "Home Health Sanitation Initiative" would require that all white employers install a separate bathroom for the use of their "colored" help.Returning to Jackson after having earned a degree in journalism is free-spirited Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan (Emma Stone).
